Obviously, since the resumption of Democracy from the 3rd republic to date, analyst have described it as worsening. This is largely due to the failure of leadership to address the issue of corruption head on. This led to a high level of anger and
anguish in the land, and it is in the light of this that Nigerians take to streets of the cities to protest bad government. Also, it is the failure of government programmes. Billions of dollars have been injected into the economy for several intervention
projects but unfortunately has not been able to whether the storm. Furthermore, a country without a population censors’ figure and social register will not be able to do much to fast-track development.
