The cross-dresser, Okuneye Idris Olakunle popularly known as Bob Risky has been sentenced to six months in jail without the option of a fine. He was sentenced by Justice Abimbola Awgboro of the federal high court in Lagos. Justice Awogboro earlier convicted Bobrisky for Naira abuse following his guilty plea to a four-count charge filed against him by the EFCC
The offense is punishable under section 21(1) of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Act 2007. His jail term commences on 24th March 2024. This punishment will serve as a deterrent to others who take pleasure in mutilating and abusing the naira currency
The EFCC had on April 5 secured the conviction of popular cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, on abuse of naira for which he has been sentenced to six months imprisonment.
