Due to the oil spill and pollution  from the Ororo 1 well, their livelihood  which is fish farming has been destroyed as a result of the constant fire on the ocean which is destroying aquatic life gradually over this period under review

Water in Awoye is a highly-priced commodity, as the inhabitants need to sail a long distance from their community in the oceanfront to get water for drinking and other domestic use at a huge cost

All progressive Nigerians have made a  concerted to the President of the Federal Republic of  Nigeria over the neglect the people of Awoye community are passing through. The community is hopeful in the determination of the administration of His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu to quench the raging fire on the ocean to further avert the destruction of lives  and property, and also global warming

However, the snow-footed approach of the Ondo state and federal government is translating into the wanton destruction of lives and property worth millions of petrodollars. If no urgent steps are taken, the Awoye community risks facing extinction in a short distance time
